We are searching for talented, passionate, high-energy candidates to join our growing team.

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and creative molecular and cell biologist to join our Totus platform team. The successful candidate will work closely with a high-performing group of chemists, chemical biologists, biophysicist, biochemists, cell biologists, data scientists and lead discovery experts to advance the Totus genome scale drug discovery platform with a focus on developing target-based approaches to rapidly analyze target-small molecule biological effects.

In this role you will:

  • Develop robust medium-to-high throughput cell-based assays for target validation, evaluation of pharmacological effect and understanding of mechanism of action of target engagement.
  • Design, conduct, and manage experiments in-house or at CROs using pharmacologic or genetic approaches in relevant in vitro cellular models.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data and present results to senior management, other departments within the organization, external collaborators, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with chemists, chemical biologists, biochemists, biophysicists and data scientists to generate a genome scale drug discovery platform using modern assay tools.
  • Training and mentoring junior team members.


  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bio-Engineering or related field with 3+ years of postdoctoral and/or drug discovery industry research experience, preferably in the field of oncology.
  • Rigorous and productive experimentalist with strong critical thinking skills and deep understanding of cell signaling networks and enthusiasm for genomic techniques.
  • Extensive experience with cell culture techniques and cell line engineering, particularly with the development of cell-based functional assays and relevant assay readout technologies (e.g. alphaLISA, MSD, FRET, BRET, luminescence, flow cytometry, qPCR, NGS etc.).
  • Proficiency with microscopy and/or epifluorescence microscopy would be an advantage.
  • Expertise with functional genomic screening approaches (e.g. RNAi, CRISPR KO, CRISPRi, and CRISPRa) is highly preferred.
  • Highly motivated detailed-oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and willingness to proactively engage in an interdisciplinary and collaborative internal Platform team.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools to analyze large datasets (e.g., SpotFire, Knime, GeneData Screener, Datagrok) would be beneficial, although training will be provided as needed.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing junior team members and/or external partners/CRO is a plus.
