About the Team

We’re a team of strategic marketers focused on attracting, acquiring, and engaging with customers across their homeownership journey, all while building an enduring brand. We work closely with cross-functional partners (Brand, Product, Engineering, and Data Science) to drive growth on both sides of Thumbtack’s marketplace. About the Role

We are looking for a growth marketer that has deep expertise in social marketing and experience working across multiple digital marketing functions, especially within the performance marketing landscape - Paid social platforms like Meta, Tiktok, Pinterest etc, Organic social, Influencer Marketing, Mobile App Install etc. The ideal candidate is energetic and a self-starter willing to dig in and support other channel managers to maximize their potential. They can hit the ground running and work effectively with little oversight. They help their team prioritize and manage their own work, clearly tying it to the goals of the larger team, and the business as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize & scale Thumbtack’s social strategy, identifying new opportunities for customer growth.
  • Transform customer and performance data into actionable insights that inform our experimentation roadmap.
  • Own day-to-day management and optimizations - bid & budget management, target audience development & refinement, creative iteration, reporting and measurement. 
  • Audit and provide improvements to existing tech stack for Meta and Tiktok 
  • Work closely with other channel managers and data science partners to understand the performance of campaigns and tests.
  • Partner with cross-functional martech eng and analytics teams to build automation and scalable tools (e.x. audience automation, creative optimization, campaign building, performance reporting, and forecasting). 
  • Partner with the brand and creative teams to concept, produce, refine, and iterate thumb-stopping performance branding creative that tells our brand story while achieving KPIs
  • Own the tracking, attribution, and measurement of performance metrics (ROAS, incrementality, lift, etc.) using a combination of in-house and third-party data 
  • Own reporting and communication of progress towards performance targets
  • Manage external partners (agencies, account partners, vendors) to improve performance, explore new platform opportunities, secure access to beta features, and provide value to other Thumbtack teams.

What you’ll need

Education: BS or BA, focus in marketing or quantitative discipline (Statistics, Business, Economics) preferred.

Experience and Motivation

  • 5-7 years of experience managing, scaling & overseeing performance and media marketing channels like Meta (FB and Instagram), Tiktok, Pinterest, Influencer Marketing 
  • High attention to detail and the ability to set and hit aggressive project deadlines
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced, high stakes but incredibly supportive Growth Marketing team
  • Clear, concise communication style and comfort working with a diverse group of people 
  • Highly analytical and data driven with a strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, vlookups) and experience running incrementality tests.
  • Experience handling upwards of $XXM yearly program budgets

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with scaling Tiktok & Pinterest to $XXM in annualised spend
  • Experience in a marketplace company and/or high-growth startup
  • Experience testing new channels from scratch
  • Experience with other digital marketing channels

For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $136,000 - $176,000. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

For candidates living in all other US locations, the expected salary range for this role is currently $115,600 - $149,600. Actual offered salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as calibrated job level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
