About the Role
The Senior Manager of Commerce Partnerships builds proactive relationships with the best merchants for Wirecutter’s recommended products and services, with a heavy emphasis on revenue. You will be responsible for rate negotiations and contract reviews and guide your direct reports on implementing all phases of launch and maintenance, performance tracking, reporting, analysis, and optimization. You will also collaborate with other teams in identifying and executing merchandising opportunities to help Wirecutter achieve its revenue goals. You will report to the Director of Commerce. This is a remote friendly role.
Responsibilities:

Oversee the management and execution of our affiliate relationships across merchants and affiliate networks with an eye towards reaching affiliate revenue and EPC goals.

Manage a portfolio of top tier partners, and oversee the diversification of partners and categories across Commerce Partnership team members’ portfolios.

Lead a team of direct reports in growing revenue from managed merchant partners by securing premium rates.

Guide direct reports’ execution of building reports that analyze campaigns and identify insights to optimize performance.

Educate network and agency representatives on Wirecutter’s value proposition and requirements for a successful partnership.

Coordinate with the Commerce Operations team lead on the execution of our merchant optimization strategies.

Work closely with Commerce team leaders and the Senior Editor of Deals on collaborative deal strategies to bring deals on Wirecutter Picks to our readers (curated deals, blogs, deal event weeks)

Attend affiliate conferences as needed.

Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Basic Qualifications:
-
5+ years of total experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in a business-side affiliate marketing role

2+ years experience in a team lead capacity
-
2+ years experience in affiliate network and onsite traffic dashboards in applying data to insights
-
2+ years experience in client-side presentations and negotiations, with experience closing deals valued at 6 - 7 figures and maintaining relationships through renewals
Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years experience in a people manager role focused on career development of direct reports
