Where You Will Come In

The Research and Development Associate will report directly to the Research and Development Scientist.  They will be a key player in the product development process and responsible for supporting research projects across the organization. They will coordinate product testing, evaluations and approvals, supporting a smooth product development process. They will manage relationships with our 3rd party analytics partners.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage on-site product showings and reviews with cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Manage, facilitate and develop relationships with third-party labs and academic research partners. 
  • Manage and maintain analytical and testing calendar. 
  • Ensure prompt delivery and documentation of samples at the main office and testing partners. 
  • Organize and analyze data reports, maintain nutritional ingredient databases to inform formulation.
  • Coordinate development timelines and communicate project status across the organization.  
  • Proactively work with cross-functional team members in various departments including Manufacturing, Operations, and Product.

We’re Excited About You Because

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of Administrative, Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • You are a direct, caring, and persuasive communicator and establish rapport easily with people on your cross-functional team and other key stakeholders.
  • You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You have a collaborative attitude, with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • You have the flexibility to commit to up to 20% travel.

Office Guidelines

We support our team members with the flexibility to thrive, professionally and personally. All hybrid team members are asked to be in the office for 3 Gathering Days a week to continue to build a collaborative, lively, and invested environment - a unique in-person culture we are proud of. Gathering Days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, however the office will be open and available for all Monday through Friday. For this role, you'll need additional time in office to facilitate the necessary responsibilities and duties of this job. It can increase up to 5 days per week as needed.

We commit to building a competitive compensation package and company environment for all individuals to thrive. We believe in competitive base compensation rooted in location specific market data and performance along with equity ownership in the company that allows every team member to build their personal wealth as the company grows, just as much as we believe in fostering a culture that supports our team members personally, professionally, and holistically.  For this role the anticipated hiring base compensation range is $50,000 - $70,000 USD Annual and the compensation offered will include a robust market competitive package of base and equity. In addition to your base compensation offer you will also receive equity ownership in the company. More information about the value of this equity will be shared at the time of offer. This range is representative of NYC Market Data if you are applying to this role outside of the NYC area the range may change.
