The Reporter will write and report on the activities, eccentricities, and misdeeds of the boardroom elite and the ultra-wealthy. The ideal candidate will have a nose for scoops, a flair for the turn of phrase, and a metabolism that can keep up with the bullet-train pace of news.
The Reporter will write multiple items per week for our ‘Power Trip’ franchise, and develop a newsletter on the subject. The Reporter must be ready to cover everyone from up-and-coming CEOs to old-money oligarchs, Silicon Valley barons to Wall Street titans. The Report must also have demonstrated the skills to cultivate sources, sift through public records, break news, and write with style and passion.
Research stories on the activities, eccentricities, and misdeeds of the boardroom elite.
Write news items, analytical pieces, and features.
Land exclusive stories.
Develop a newsletter on the subject.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
Proven writing skills.
Ability to take initiative, receive constructive feedback, and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated capacity to cultivate sources, both over the phone and in person, and glean information from public records.
At least 5 years of reporting experience.
Financial literacy is a major plus.
Can be located anywhere, but New York City is preferred.
