Digital Content Producer & Editor

Job Summary

We are searching for a skilled and multi-talented content producer to curate and manage compelling video and audio stories for YouTube, marketing assets, and our podcast. This role will also support community management through engaging with our online communities on social media and produce content that resonates with our followers.

As the digital content producer, you will leverage creative storytelling within our brand standards so messaging is consistent with company mission, values and guidelines. In this role, you will  curate content for a wide variety of digital content platforms such as podcasts, websites, blogs, videos, mobile, and social media.Responsibilities will also include growing the library of stories by sourcing from our existing network of founders, alumni, employees, mentors and investors.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver strong storytelling of the Techstars brand, its founders and its network through compelling digital content in form of video and audio. 
  • Collaborate with global program teams to strategize, organize and develop story creation and distribution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Digital content breakout:

Video:

  • Script, film, andedit brand and marketing videos to be used on LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Schedule and interview founders,mentors, and industry experts for long-form content that will elevate the Techstars brand.
  • Manage company global YouTube channel and oversee live streaming.
  • Develop best practices and establish the Techstars brand through unique and innovative video styles, graphics, captions, and formats.
  • Edit high quality videos using various editing software similar to Descript, CapCut, Canva, Inshot with working  knowledge of Premier, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Rework existing long form content for catchy, social-friendly short form clips.
  • Nice to have: Comfortable speaking on camera to tell startup stories and introduce guests for long form videos

Podcast:

  • Edit our GiveFirst podcast (audio and video).
  • Transcribe our digital assets using tools like Descrip and AI
  • Create social clips with highlights from the episodes to be distributed on various channels.
  • Source  guests from the Techstars network for the podcast and schedule them to be interviewed by the host..

Social Media:

  • Script, film, and edit short form video content specific for Instagram Reels and TikTok. 
  • Assist with digital events live streamed on LinkedIn and YouTube (tech assist, commenting, and occasional hosting).
  • Help with monitoring and brainstorm trending videos and topics on social media and create relevant pieces of content.
  • Assist with scheduling content on social media using tools like Hootsuite.
  • Collaborate with the social media manager on community management to foster conversations with our audience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, film, production or a similar discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience with all aspects of video content creation from inception to final product delivery.
  • Strong video editing skills with knowledge of editing software including audio editing for podcasts.
  • Experience with various software and platforms including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, ACAST, Descript, Zencastr, YouTube, LinkedIn Live, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, etc. 
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with an eagerness to find, pitch and execute your own video projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and campaigns with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to lead and manage projects and campaigns. 
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player with a passion for the startup world and entrepreneurship.
  • Copywriting is preferred.

Compensations: $70,000 - $80,000 base with 10% bonus
