The Store Market Associate is a customer-facing role that elevates the brand experience for the customer and facilitates accurate intake and POS transactions. The Store Market Associate will need to be energetic, enthusiastic, and informed to be able to maintain a passionate level of engaged conversation. The role will include explaining StockX to new users and explaining benefits of StockX to current users. In addition, they will help in other areas of store operation when needed.
What you’ll do:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and help them navigate the space.
- Provide excellent service and attention to all customers.
- Know the StockX platform to effectively assist customers.
- Ensure accurate transactions when accepting products and processing sales for DeadStock and Non-DeadStock items.
- Clearly communicate the purpose of StockX and store initiatives.
- Build relationships with customers, especially repeat ones.
- Deliver an engaging customer experience.
- Explain the StockX buying and selling process.
- Quickly escalate customer service issues through the proper channels.
- Follow SOPs for intake to minimize errors and ensure accurate inventory documentation.
- Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and pricing.
- Assist with events, including setup and clean-up.
About you:
- 1-3 years of store or customer service experience
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring quality in all tasks.
- Sense of urgency to perform tasks to timelines
- Proficient in computer systems, technology, and scan compliance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Open to flexible working hours to meet team and customer needs.
- Good endurance skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Slack, and other common basic office software
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
Working conditions:
- The store environment has working conditions similar to those of a typical retail store with warehouse elements. Team members may be regularly exposed to dust, odors, and noise. Required safety equipment may include gloves and protective eyewear. Shirts with sleeves are recommended, though not required. Closed-toed and closed-heel shoes are required.
- This role may require you to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like frequently depending on site location.
- In this environment, team members will be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, turn, and pivot more than 75% of the time.
Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base hourly rate of $20.00/hr plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
