About the Role:

Our Mission is to safely deliver focused, end to end testing and execution of Stack AV's autonomous driving business.  Service Operation’s mission is to create and maintain a service operations strategy to enable Stack AV Operations. 

*This will be a Contract Position

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct detailed inspections and routine maintenance of vehicle systems, including chassis, suspension, brakes, steering, and throttle.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues specific to autonomous vehicles like sensor installation and alignments.
  • Collaborate closely with Fleet Operations and respond to fleet blocking issues in a timely manner.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance inspections and repairs with 3rd parties.
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering & Hardware teams during vehicle intake, acceptance, and commissioning.
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance including diagnostic and repairs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize resource utilization, and increase overall efficiency in trucking operations through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to provide service coverage (10-20%).
  • Hourly rate starting at $30/hr.

 

Qualifications: 

  • A SAFETY FIRST MINDSET
  • Clear communication, attention to detail, consistent execution, excellent problem-solving abilities, and disciplined organization skills.
  • Experience with diagnosing and repairing modern CAN bus-based automotive systems.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and traveling, if required. 
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting autonomous vehicle systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive mechanics, with specific skills in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) is preferred. 
  • Previous Autonomous Vehicle experience. 
  • Functional Understanding of 49 CFR Parts 379, 390 & 396.
  • Current CDL with a good standing driving record (Class A preferred).
  • Experience with basic hardware networking. 
  • Experience with Linux / command line.
