The Role

The Solution Engineer Lead will be responsible for leading the solution engineering  (pre-sales) team, presenting product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in company’s technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. This role also entails building up quick POCs and solutions to solve new business problems previously unsolved, estimating the feasibility of scaling up such POCs into production use cases, and articulating their differentiating value to clients.

To accomplish this, the Solution Engineer Lead must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Build solutions and manage the demo environments for Soroco products
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition. Continuously scan and report complex market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Understand the customer's needs, and establish Soroco’s product as the best solution that solves the customer's challenges
  • Deep understanding of client’s infrastructure (on-premise and cloud) needs, ability to work with enterprise architects.
  • Understanding of security and data privacy requirements and answering the related questions asked by the client
  • Build and present new solutions, customized POCs, and demos of Soroco’s products
  • Present technical aspects of Soroco’s products to stakeholders at clients.
  • Convey deep understanding of the customer's business as it pertains to Soroco’s solutions
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural trainings and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
  • Respond effectively to RFPs and technical questionnaires
  • Identify patterns in the client conversations and sales pitches and share feedback with the product and marketing team
  • Ability to travel to the client location, as required

The Candidate

The ideal Solution Engineer will possess strong technical and/or sales skills, articulate, presentable, detail-oriented in nature, and have a deep understanding of Soroco’s products and solutions.

Key Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • B.E. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of previous experience as a solution engineer / Software Developer for a software company or similar technology
  • Experience in creating presentations and demos that deliver the product value proposition, RFPs, Solutioning
  • Adept at navigating and comprehending complex enterprise network, technology and information & data security architecture
  • Knowledge of business process optimization tools
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied client environments
  • Ability to work well in a highly dynamic team environment focused on providing above industry standard customer service
  • Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Inclination towards learning new technology
  • Systematic problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet
  • Strong sense of empathy and emotional awareness
  • Impeccable attention to detail
