Position Summary:

Plant Closeout Specialist is responsible for performing clerical tasks related to the efficient processing of As-Built Drawings, Notices of Completion and Construction Corrections after final inspection, including preparing, revising, examining, and analyzing the documents while fostering outstanding internal and external communications, tracking, accountability, and integrity. Working hand in hand with the Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Construction Coordinators, the Closeout Specialist will have a full understanding of the closeout phase of a construction project life-cycle.

Position can be done remote, but does require a couple weeks of training at our HQ in Santa Rosa to start. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role with project coordination, document control and/or project closeout experience.  Working with telecommunications or utilities companies a plus
  • Experience and understanding of record/document control and reporting
  • Experience in construction project controls and scheduling
  • Experience with telecommunications construction best practices

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General understanding of telecommunications construction
  • Collect as-built drawings as provided by Construction Coordinators and coordinate with Engineers to create formal as-built record documents
  • Submit formal Notifications of Completion to appropriate Pole Owners
  • Receive and track final inspection reports from Pole Owners
  • Distribute construction corrections to responsible contractors
  • Ensure Contractors resolve corrections in a reasonable timeline, using photo documentation
  • Manage the corrections process through the final acceptance of work by Pole Owners
  • Create and track all steps in the closeout process in JIRA or other workflow management program as applicable
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Other duties and projects as requested by manager.

  • Computer Skills - Proficient in multiple operating platforms; should have knowledge of Internet software, Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, GIS
