Every day, the world gets more digital thanks to tens of millions of developers building the future faster than ever. But with exponential growth comes exponential risk, as outnumbered security teams struggle to secure mountains of code. This is where Snyk (pronounced “sneak”) comes in. Snyk is a developer security platform that makes it easy for development teams to find, prioritize, and fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and cloud infrastructure — and do it all right from the start. Snyk is on a mission to make the world a more secure place by empowering developers to develop fast and stay secure.
Joining Snyk means embracing our core values: One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking. As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment where fostering collaboration, leading with empathy, driving business impact, and inspiring trust are at the heart of everything we do.
Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead Snyk’s largest and most complex cross-functional software development initiatives. This role works as part of the Engineering team and requires deep technical knowledge, a finely tuned program management skillset and the ability to deal with ambiguity. You will be responsible for driving programs through the entire software development lifecycle, from inception through launch and program closeout.
This role will appeal to you if you are a builder who gets satisfaction from solving big, complex puzzles, if you like being close to the code and if you find the average TPM role too tactical or administrative.
You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Diving deep into several large programs simultaneously to turn business objectives into well defined and scoped technical delivery plans.
- Driving the execution of the work, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions.
- Setting and managing stakeholder expectations through metrics and qualitative status reporting.
- Partnering with R&D leaders in their domain to ensure that program objectives contribute to the broader strategic goals.
- Partnering with Engineering leadership to facilitate technical problem-solving.
- Helping define and shape how the TPM organization delivers value through best practices and process.
- Resolving conflicts and cross-team dependencies while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical skills, including hands-on experience with programming languages, databases, and cloud technologies.
- 10+ years’ experience in technical program management in the software development space.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
We’d be Lucky if You:
- PMP, PgMP or other professional certifications
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Experience running software development programs/projects as a technical lead
- Knowledge or experience in modern cyber security operations (SAST, DAST)
