Job Description

The Senior Salesforce Administrator will play a critical role in managing and optimizing SmartRent’s Salesforce environment. This role requires technical expertise in Salesforce administration, a strong grasp of business workflows, and experience with DevOps practices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a tailored and efficient Salesforce experience, ensuring platform alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Administration: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the Salesforce platform, including user access, role management, and data security.
  • Customization & Configuration: Design and implement custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, and validation rules to meet SmartRent’s business requirements.
  • Data Management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity, conducting regular audits and managing imports/exports as needed.
  • Process Automation: Leverage automation tools, such as Salesforce Flow and Process Builder, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Integrations: Support integrations between Salesforce and other systems, such as ERP, marketing automation, and customer support tools.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop complex reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • User Support & Training: Provide training and support to ensure effective use of Salesforce features and promote adoption.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and SmartRent’s internal policies.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Salesforce Administrator, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Must possess a Salesforce Certified Administrator license/certification.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

  • Salesforce Administration & Configuration:
    • Proficient in user management, custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and permissions.
    • Advanced understanding of automation tools like Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules.
  • Data Management & Quality:
    • Experience with data loading tools (e.g., Data Loader) for bulk data updates.
    • Skilled in data hygiene, including de-duplication and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Salesforce CPQ:
    • Architect and optimize Salesforce CPQ solutions to support complex pricing models, advanced product configurations, and scalable quoting processes, aligning with business strategies and driving operational excellence
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Expertise in creating complex reports and dashboards, and familiarity with Salesforce Reporting Snapshots for trend analysis.
    • Knowledge of Einstein Analytics is beneficial.
  • Integrations:
    • Experienced with REST and SOAP APIs, and integration platforms like MuleSoft or Zapier for data flow across systems.
    • Knowledge of AppExchange tools to expand Salesforce functionality.
  • Change Management / DevOps:
    • Proficiency in using Change Sets and Gearset for version control, deployment management, and seamless release cycles.
    • Skilled in unit testing, test plans, and quality assurance to ensure stable and high-quality deployments.
    • Familiarity with tools such as Git for version control, and Copado or Salesforce DX (SFDX) for CI/CD and release management.
  • Basic Development Skills (Preferred):
    • Familiarity with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Knowledge of data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA to ensure compliance and data security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator – Preferred for advanced reporting, complex automation, and app customization.
  • Platform App Builder – Ideal for designing data models and creating custom applications.
  • Sales/Service Cloud Consultant – (Depending on focus) Demonstrates expertise in configuring sales or service processes.
  • Additional certifications, such as Einstein Analytics or Community Cloud Consultant, are a plus.
  • Experience with MuleSoft
