Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will be a critical part of the leadership team to define and execute the organization's growth strategy. 

You Will

  • Define, drive, and deliver marketing KPIs
  • Take responsibility for the annual marketing plan, strategy, and team
  • Lead marketing forecasting and planning to optimize conversions across all channels
  • Manage execution of plans across functions and teams as needed to meet business objectives and drive success stories
  • Prioritize goals and drive your team and agencies to get the job done
  • Ensure sufficient internal communication and awareness of programs with Product, Sales, and other teams
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, and recommend appropriate marketing strategies and investments across all channels
  • Serve as a member of the Leadership team to help shape Smartling's vision, strategy and plans to maintain leadership in the localization industry
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies and refine product positioning
  • Support Smartling’s HR and Recruiting functions by showcasing our company culture and forecasting hiring needs for the marketing department

You Have

  • Senior-level experience developing and achieving successful marketing strategies for a fast-growing innovative AI company
  • 5+ years in executive, managerial, or people leadership capacities, or equivalent entrepreneurship roles
  • A process-oriented and data-driven approach to building awareness and consideration at the top of the funnel and conversions throughout
  • Experience playing a key role in defining exceptional brands
  • Demonstrated ability in brand storytelling and messaging that shows the value of our platform, team, and customers
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
  • Ability to maintain highly strategic thinking and thrive in a high-growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • Clear, concise, and compelling communication (visual, verbal, and written) skills
  • Proven ability to lead through influence
  • Proven success in accelerating sales growth by supporting Sales and Engagement teams
  • Worked with agencies and providers and know how to complement internal and external capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
