The Solution Architect/Technical Implementation Manager is part of the Professional Services team at Smartling. The mission of the team is to help customers rapidly integrate Smartling solutions in a way that is sustainable and scalable. As a Solution Architect, you are the hands-on advisor, technical expert, and problem solver. You will be leading various technical integrations and implementations, solving the most challenging problems in the content localization space, and designing sustainable solutions to support our customers’ growing localization needs.

The Solution Architect is an Engineering-adjacent role. Accordingly, a strong technical background is required for this role.  We are looking for a professional who has a track record of successfully designing and implementing enterprise-grade technical solutions, communicates complex concepts and ideas in the simplest terms, and demonstrates creativity in solving unique problems for customers.

You Will

  • Interact with both technical and business users to gather requirements, analyze information, and design comprehensive and scalable solutions
  • Effectively and proactively manage process changes with business and technical stakeholders to drive implementations forward
  • Act with precision and urgency to provide customers with best-in-class support, and lead workshops and troubleshooting sessions with customer technical teams to resolve complex issues
  • Continuously articulate best practices to encourage optimal integration and platform adoption, laying the foundation for the long-term success of customers
  • Stay curious about new technologies, develop new tools, and contribute to process improvement 

You Have

  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or in a similar customer-facing role that focuses on technical solution design and implementation
  • Highly analytical when it comes to complex problems, not intimidated by technical challenges
  • Excellent communicator with the capability to advise/persuade technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to drive outcomes despite complexity, ambiguity or changing scope
  • 2+ years of applied experience with modern web technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript), and REST APIs
  • Familiar with at least one programming/scripting language and able to read/write simple scripts
  • A home office setup conducive for working remotely, and ability to work effectively as a remote team member*

Preferred but not required

  • Software development experience
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and SQL
  • Experience with file engineering and regular expressions
  • Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks (CDN), web servers, and proxy technologies such as Nginx
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk, Kibana or similar technologies
  • Experience with translation, localization, and internationalization processes and/or fluency in multiple languages

The US national total pay range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed.
