About the Job
As Sr. Manager of Advisor Marketing, you will contribute to the marketing strategy of the SmartAsset financial Advisor Marketing Platform (AMP), and execute campaigns that drive new client acquisition and existing client retention.
The right candidate has a passion for marketing and expertise in effective direct response advertising principles across a variety of channels. You’re able to apply sound reasoning and problem-solving to independently tackle growth challenges. You can formulate strategies to hit growth targets and adjust them based on iterative testing. You understand how to analyze funnel metrics and respond effectively to the most important insights. You can create projections. You know how to structure a valid test, interpret results, and integrate findings into a test roadmap. And you have experience setting up email campaigns (coding, segmenting, deploying), landing pages on common CRO platforms, and tracking (through GTM). You’re not afraid to move quickly, try new things, and achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Develop marketing strategies to drive adoption and retention of users on the SmartAsset Advisor Marketing Platform with minimal support or guidance.
- Own discrete marketing campaigns from ideation and opportunity sizing through reporting and optimization.
- Analyze campaign performance and make data-driven changes for improvement.
- Work with stakeholders on the Sales team to develop campaigns/collateral that improve efficiency or support product communications.
- Work with marketing teammates on multi-channel campaigns that require orchestration (ie. SEO, Paid Media).
- Collaborate with Product to improve MQL capture rate of smartasset.com.
- Report on campaign performance pacing on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Manage and improve workflows where possible to improve efficiency.
Skills / Experience You Have:
- 5+ years of experience designing and managing B2B marketing campaigns including content creation, segmentation, deployment and iterative testing.
- Deep knowledge of email marketing tactics, tools, and industry developments.
- Strong written communication skills; able to write marketing copy independently.
- Strong analytical skills; makes decisions based on data.
- Experience using Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and/or other web analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with placing and testing tags in Google Tag Manager or other tag management product.
Skills / Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience using Pardot is a plus.
- Prior experience using Salesforce is a strong plus
- Able to identify the priority(s) at any given time, as the startup environment is dynamic.
- Comfortable managing through ambiguity.
