Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished Director, Compensation & Business Partner to join our Global People Team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the SingleStore’s global compensation & benefits programs ensuring both employees and the organization thrive. Working with the C-level leadership team, this role will focus on driving programs that engage our talent, enrich our culture, and ensure high-performing teams at all levels. This role will also serve as a trusted advisor/business partner to a key function within the business. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in compensation design and implementation, exceptional consulting skills, and strong knowledge of global people practices especially within the technology industry.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global total rewards strategy ensuring alignment with SingleStore’s business goals and talent strategy
- Design and oversee the development of compensation structures and incentive plans that are competitive with market trends and best practices. Ensure these programs are equitable and cost effective, aligning with the company's vision
- Establish and maintain a global governance framework for compensation and benefits ensuring total rewards policies and practices are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across regions and countries
- Conduct regular market analyses to benchmark company compensation against industry standards and trends. Make data driven recommendations for adjustments ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices
- Contribute to a global people strategy and execute initiatives to drive business success by evolving and amplifying our culture, enabling manager effectiveness, and delivering a world-class employee experience
Required Experience
- 10+ years progressive experience in a compensation and/or people business partner/HR Operations
- Expertise in the design and management of global compensation programs, understanding compensation regulations and strategies in the US (additional experience in EMEA, APAC, preferred)
- Experience serving as a dedicated People Business Partner to C-level executives with a proven track record of influencing and coaching senior leaders & their teams
- Proven track record of making sound, data driven decisions to effectively support and enhance the business
- Demonstrated experience developing materials for Board presentation and disclosures, preferred
- Exceptional consulting & communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

SingleStore's base salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $200,000
