Overview:

 

SimpliSafe is looking for an experienced leader to lead our electrical engineering team. This person will be responsible for leading the team of engineers and coordinating with project teams drawn from interdisciplinary competences to create an environment for world-class execution and technical leadership. Our electrical engineering team includes the following focus areas: electrical engineering architecture, RF design and integration, analog and digital board design, sensor integration, and camera electronics. The department is responsible for delivery and ongoing support of all aspects of electrical engineering for SimpliSafe’s full portfolio of home security devices and cameras.

You will:

  • Directly manage SimpliSafe’s team of electrical engineers
  • Hire world class team members
  • Lead and coach in EE best practices, competency and capability development
  • Build resource plans for projects and respond to changing staffing needs
  • Set an example of technical competence
  • Work closely with local and international engineering and manufacturing partners
  • Build the electrical engineering strategy that includes the technology, people, and processes for successful implementation
  • Own the successful implementation of the electrical functional aspects of all product development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of direct work experience with 5+ years of direct management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with Asian CMs
