Job Summary: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for full cycle HR tactics while supporting company goals and employee relations.
Locations: Leesburg, West Palm Beach, Miami, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale
Travel: While primarily a remote position, the Human Resources Generalist is required to travel quarterly or semi-annually to all Schweiger Dermatology Group FL offices and twice a year to our NYC central office. From time to time, additional in-person team meetings may be required as well. Additionally, employee must be available to travel to visiting offices/acquisition related support typically 1-2 days travel at a time with travel (outside of nearby region) expenses covered by SDG.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Essential Functions:
- Support managers and employees as their general point of contact on all matters including but not limited to:
- General benefits knowledge.
- Employee relations full-service support including being present for and/or conducting disciplinary conversations, investigations, and terminations as needed.
- HRIS support and information management.
- Compliance related activities such as ensuring ongoing regulations and certifications are met.
- Recruitment support when needed.
- Coordination of any employee leaves in conjunction with HR leaders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legislation and company policies.
- Staying aware of any employment and case law that may directly impact the regional supported.
- Provide high-level customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Regularly review compensation to ensure FLSA compliance.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Review and create internal policies and procedures to ensure smooth and thorough best practices.
- Working knowledge and application of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.
- Assisting with other HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as Associate/Junior Generalist or Generalist required.
- 4-5 years’ experience in the Human Resources field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Healthcare recruitment experience highly preferred.
- Experience using HRIS system required, UKG by Ultimate Software preferred.
- Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), Greenhouse preferred.
- Must be computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Exude excellent employee and candidate relationship building skills.
- Must be agile, fast-paced, and innovative.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
