For our Swiss office, based in Basel, we are looking for a Swiss Legal Counsel.

In this role you will work alongside other members of the Roivant legal team to support the various legal needs of Roivant and its subsidiaries.  

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into US-based legal team while working closely with Swiss-based teams
  • Assisting with the contracting and other various legal needs of Roivant’s Swiss-based entities
  • Supporting other various legal needs of Roivant’s Swiss-based entities
  • Working closely with executives as well as commercial, regulatory and CMC (chemistry, manufacturing and controls) teams, and a number of other departments
  • Legal review of both US and Swiss law-based agreements
  • Navigating the legal needs of a company with a complex corporate structure

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 2+ years of law firm experience, and in-house experience a plus
  • Experience with some combination of general corporate law, transactional law, healthcare, life sciences, technology, and intellectual property
  • Experience with US and Swiss-based legal review
  • Excellent drafting capabilities
  • Strong negotiation skills for legal and financial/commercial issues
  • Ability to balance risk with business need
  • Familiarity with various types of both US and Swiss legal documents
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volume of agreements under tight timelines
  • Sound judgment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization (including with R&D, finance, accounting, and tax)
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Collegial personality

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • JD or LLM equivalent
  • Admitted to practice law in Switzerland

Location Requirement:

  • Basel, Switzerland
