Legal Removals Policy sits within the Trust & Safety Policy function at Reddit and works on a wide range of content and regulatory issues that help the platform and Reddit communities grow by keeping users safe, defending their rights to free expression and privacy, advocating for meaningful transparency, and handling complex legal requests from around the world.

We’re looking for a seasoned professional with at least 4+ years of relevant experience in Trust & Safety, specifically handling legal removal requests from governments, law enforcement, and private parties (e.g. lawyers). You will join our growing team in EMEA and work with different teams across the company to tackle complex challenges, and use your drive, experience, and proactive approach to make a big impact on Reddit’s rapidly-growing international business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Expertly handle legal removal requests from governments, law enforcement, private parties (lawyers/solicitors), and users; applying high standards of care and attention to detail.
  • Handle high-risk internal escalations with poise, excellent judgement, and clear communication. 
  • Identify and communicate trends and synthesize customer/partner feedback to influence program & team objectives. Bring your analysis to a level that can be shared with senior stakeholders, focusing on insights.
  • Define and measure operational metrics to evaluate timeliness and quality of service, policies and procedures.
  • Proactively take ownership of assigned work/projects from conception to completion, while actively seeking feedback and proactively communicating about progress.
  • Review existing processes and make recommendations for impactful and right-sized solutions and efficiency gains. 
  • Work with the Legal and Public Policy teams, and cross-functionally with Safety, Community, and Engineering to efficiently carry out your responsibilities.
  • You will join the Trust & Safety Policy global Emergency Disclosure Requests (EDRs) and Emergency Removal Requests (ERRs) rotation that may require on-call work from time to time.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years directly relevant work experience, specifically handling international legal content removal requests.
  • Excellent communicator with experience collaborating and bringing alignment across multiple functions. 
  • Proactive, motivated self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments; and is able to work and make informed decisions independently.
  • Strong writing and project management skills. 
  • Proficiency in the Hindi language.
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ready to work across time zones and be flexible on working hours.
  • Experience processing legal requests for account information and additional language expertise (e.g. Dutch, Arabic, Japanese, etc) is a plus.
