Recorded Future is looking to add a Tax Manager to join the Accounting Team. This position will report to the Global Sr. Director of Tax. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Team to scale its workflows and implement best-in-class processes as we strive to keep pace with Recorded Future's growth path to a $500 million ARR company. Recorded Future is looking to recruit a Tax Manager to assist the team in the key operational needs of the business, support the month-end close process, implement best-in-class procedure as well as drive process improvements and transformation to scale the back-office function to meet the fast-paced growth of the organization. We are seeking an experienced Global Tax Manager to be responsible for overseeing and managing our company's tax compliance and reporting processes. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, as well as providing strategic tax planning and analysis to optimize our tax position. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations. In this role you will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments and with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations including VAT/GST returns.
What you'll do:
- Manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local, GST/VAT tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax efficiency
- Conduct research on tax issues and provide guidance and recommendations to management on tax-related matters
- Manage tax audits and resolve tax issues/notices including gathering relevant documents, coordinating responses
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company
- Prepare/review companies’ tax provision, financial statements, and disclosures related to taxes
- Oversee the maintenance of tax records and documentation to support tax positions and ad hoc projects
- Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters
What you'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in tax accounting, compliance, and reporting preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, transfer pricing
- Proficiency in tax software (Longview Tax Provision, Avalara), MS Office suite, especially Excel, and NetSuite (preferable)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and attention to details
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
