- Job Title: Sr. Manager, Marketing – LATAM
- Job Summary: The Sr. Manager, Marketing – LATAM is a newly created position tasked with accelerating the growth of the Pokémon business in Latin America. This position will own development of marketing strategy and execution of integrated marketing campaigns supporting Pokémon’s products and experiences in Latin America. This role will work closely with cross-functional marketing and business partners to establish marketing goals, category messaging, and go-to-market plans that help acheive long-term business goals. Over time, this role will evolve into a People Manager position responsible for managing a marketing team focused on the Latin American region. This position is based in Mexico City, and will report to the Sr. Director, Marketing, Americas and Oceania who is based in Seattle, WA, USA.

What you’ll do
- Working within a “Think Global, Act Local” context, partner with Product Marketing and Channel Marketing teams across our regional offices to develop go-to-market plans tailored specifically to meet TPCi’s expanding business objectives in Latin America. Focus on priority products (Pokémon TCG, Pokémon GO) and priority countries (Mexico and Brazil) while maintaining a wholistic view of TPCi’s marketing efforts in the region.
- Prepare marketing campaign performance reports, tracking against business and marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending necessary adjustments for future success.
- Partner with PR, Influencer, Social Media, Retail, Events and Digital Marketing teams to execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting key products and initiatives.
- Review marketing materials and creative assets, including materials created both in-house and by agency creative partners.
- Maintain annual marketing calendars, ensuring milestones are up-to-date and communicated to key stakeholders.
- Work with external Media Planning agency partners to develop and review campaign advertising plans.
- Stay current on industry trends and consumer research, using this knowledge to inform marketing strategy and tactics.
- Build and manage relationships with product managers, leadership stakeholders, integrated marketing team and external stakeholders, including international partners.
What you’ll bring
- Ten (10) years of related professional experience, including at least five (5) years in a Product Marketing Manager or similar agency role. Experience executing marketing programs in Latin America, specifically in Mexico and Brazil.
- Four (4) years of people management experience and proven success in managing a team of diverse skill sets and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Latin American Spanish, at near-native level. The ability to work across teams and communicate marketing goals/results at a team, executive, and company level.
- Experience marketing in the entertainment industry preferred.
- Experience managing development of 360 marketing programs utilizing a paid-earned-owned framework.
- Experience leading cross-functional marketing teams to execute marketing campaigns, particularly social media and digital marketing teams.
- Experience working with agencies and external partners to execute marketing initiatives.
- Understanding of Paid Media platforms and best practices.
- Familiarity with audience segmentation data and utilizing it to drive decisions and content direction. Experience working with the Circana platform is a plus.
- Demonstrated program management skills to support the creation and implementation of hype, launch, and sustainment marketing activities.
- Ability to adapt to changing deadlines, emerging needs, policy changes, and the variety of nuances that can happen in product development and live events
- Proven problem solver, able to discern the crux of an issue, and use good judgment in recommending practical solutions.
- Organized and process-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- While passion for the Pokémon brand is a plus, it is not required. However, a willingness to build a knowledge of, and a passion for, the Pokémon brand is a must.
- Bachelors degree required.
