This Associate Developer will help build our project pipeline through identification of suitable land and execution of land control agreements prior to construction on utility-scale projects. Having previous experience in real estate or prior development experience is a plus but not necessary for a skilled hunter. The ideal candidate will be passionate about renewable energy, have the ability to develop deep relationshipsand the ability to manage a nationwide pipeline of contract negotiations. 

What You’ll Do

  • Sell and negotiate ground lease agreements, purchase contracts, and easements with landowners, private and public entities 
  • Coordinate and meet with nationwide landowners virtually and in-person 
  • Develop and cultivate project opportunities for Utility-Scale PV Projects 
  • Assess and review projects sites and customers for economic feasibility
  • Generate and customize proposals for landowner review 


  • Able to cold call or perform site visits, as needed  
  • Strong closer with great negotiation skills 
  • Able to work independently through long sales process and milestones 
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, face-to-face, written and verbal communication  
  • Strong sales presentation and proposal development skills 
  • Working knowledge and preferably direct experience regarding grid interconnection, land lease and sale documents, civil engineering and environmental engineering 
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills 
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Google Earth, and MS Office Suite 


  • 1-3 years of sales experience  
  • Group presentation skills  
  • Strong social media and marketing skills 
  • Financial and economic modeling skills  
  • Understanding of Engineering on a conceptual basis  

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics or Engineering preferred

Working Environment and Physical Demand

  • Some travel may be required
