The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Be an advocate for Pilot’s culture and values
  • Be a dedicated business partner to help align and execute on our people strategy that directly supports Pilot’s business objectives
  • Coach and develop employees at all levels within the organization from individual contributors to senior leaders
  • Partner with the broader People team to deliver a high-quality employee experience
  • Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent.
  • Partner with managers and leaders to build, launch, and lead company or org-wide people programs and initiatives such as DE&I programs, performance review cycles, and employee engagement surveys
  • Partner with managers and leaders on org design, performance management, and employee relations issues
  • Be an expert & thought leader in industry best practices around functional areas of new trends and opportunities to constantly raise the bar on HR deliverables
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

About You

  • 2-4 years of experience as an HR Business Partner and minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferably in a high growth tech environment Required
  • Strong HR expertise and the ability to build credibility and trust
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills; you have a point of view on people-related topics and you are able to build meaningful relationships with employees at all levels across the organization
  • Empathetic and employee-focused approach: you care deeply about people
  • Ability to think strategically while also having the ability to execute on short-term needs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action plans.
  • Proactive and comfortable with ambiguity and autonomy, you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done and then will do it

The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $104,000 - $181,000 in San Francisco, CA. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular positions are eligible for equity, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time or temporary positions.
