Role Summary
Role: Director of Service
Location: Sunnyvale, CA.
Summary:
As the Director of Service Operations at Pebble, you will play a pivotal founding role in establishing and leading our Service Operations Organization. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive service strategy, building operational playbooks, managing warranty service operations, and leading a team of service technicians nationally. You will have the unique opportunity to build and scale the service organization, influencing and shaping the future of after-sales service and customer support at Pebble.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive service strategy aligned with Pebble's business objectives.
- Validate and enhance technical documentation and operational playbooks to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Collaborate within dealer development to establish the service network.
- Lead diagnostic processes with engineering teams to ensure timely issue resolution and product improvement.
- Manage warranty service operations, optimizing response times and customer satisfaction.
- Build and lead a team of service technicians, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
- Oversee hiring and development of service personnel, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Foster inter-team collaboration with Software (SW), Hardware, and Operations (Ops) teams to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement of processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in service operations management, preferably within the electric vehicle industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and developing service teams.
- Strong technical expertise in electric vehicle systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and develop a strong organization
- Excellent leadership and team building skills.
