About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our Revenue Systems team. This individual will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and enhancing our Salesforce platform to support Payhawk's ambitious growth goals and operational efficiency. 

The Senior Developer will work closely with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into technical solutions, delivering robust, scalable features to improve CRM functionality and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom features and scalable solutions within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Flow builder and SFDX.
  • Build and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based integrations between Salesforce and external systems, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
  • Lead technical planning and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operation managers, admins, and other developers, to create cohesive development strategies.
  • Implement best practices in Salesforce development, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and Clean Code principles.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization for Salesforce solutions and third-party applications.
  • Ensure adherence to Salesforce governor limits, security protocols, and industry-standard coding practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all custom configurations, components, and integrations.
  • Provide operational support and continuous improvements for released features, focusing on user adoption and customer satisfaction.
  • Actively contribute to architectural decisions and tooling/release cycle processes within the Revenue Systems team.

Requirements

  • + 5 years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 2 years dedicated to hands-on development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce
  • Proven track record with Salesforce development best practices, including object-oriented design patterns, TDD, CI/CD pipelines, peer reviews, and pair programming.
  • Strong understanding of the Force.com framework, including knowledge of governor limits, security, and source-based development with packages.
  • Deep experience with Salesforce integrations and API protocols (REST, SOAP) and familiarity with JSON and XML data formats.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile development methodologies and working collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders in an agile environment.
  • Experience in event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and data migration.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, System Architect, or Application Architect) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
