Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About the Role
Deputy to the Execution lead and responsible for field execution to lead program impact through implementation of important pillars i.e. Input Sales, Market Access, Training, and Extension/Follow Ups
Responsibilities
- Impact and Execution
- You will support the successful execution of Field Operations activities, which include payment for cash crops, input delivery, farmer refunds, enrolment/expansion through overseeing the implementation of strategies to achieve team and organization-level targets
- You will work with the Field Leaders, and Field Managers to implement the program targets/ goals through execution excellence across all pillars
- You will collaborate with other departments and support any programe or product innovation trials that may take place in the district, to serve our farmers best.
- You will drive the importance of impact to the Central Programme, and positively motivate them about the work they provide
- You will attend meetings and contribute to planning of Field Activities provide field experience, feedback, support and suggestions for other departments
- Team Management
- Line Manager of the Field Managers
- Mentor Field Managers according to One Acre Fund’s model to develop them through delegation, check-ins, empowerment and training
- Build a team culture of growth, integrity, and accountability to programmatic goals through monthly conversations regarding team morale

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture / Agronomy / Botany / Horticulture / Rural Development / Agricultural Economics / Statistics / Agricultural Engineering / Applied Sciences or related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in Agriculture, Rural Development, Commercial Farming; or related.
- Strong Computer, Data and Analytical Skills including: Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace Tools, Advanced Excel (can perform complex functions) / Google Sheets, Experience in Field Survey Data Collection & Guidance. Technical experience in R / Stata will be an added advantage.
- English required; fluency in Luganda desirable
