THE ROLE

Olipop is searching for a Sr. Analyst, Commercial Finance to support our Commercial team in a high growth environment.  Our Commercial team spans Sales, Commercial Planning & RGM, Category & Business Insights, and this role will be critical in ensuring that we are optimizing our spend and continuously learning and iterating on what is working.

In this role, you will need to get into the weeds and build reports, dashboards, and analytics in collaboration with Commercial leaders to measure and track performance against Commercial and overall organization goals, but be able to quickly elevate and communicate trends and their implications, along with recommended actions needed.  In addition to building, you will be asked to think critically and strategically about the implications of your analysis and present the findings to our leadership team.  You will need to be an effective collaborator, able to support our Commercial leader needs while also being willing to challenge perspectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role will serve as a business partner to our Commercial team, helping to support ongoing decision making, analysis in support of long-term strategic projects, strategic planning, annual planning & forecasting, maintaining monthly forecast models, and other ad-hoc requests.  
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of any modeling needed for strategic decisions across the Commercial function.
  • Manage forecasts for key Commercial P&L line items such as Revenue, Trade Spend, and General Sales with RGM, Planning and Sales leaders.
  • Support monthly Commercial reviews with owners to analyze variance from budget, identify issues/trends, and forecast annual results.
  • Assist profit optimization opportunities and tracking.
  • Assist in the rollout of channel profitability analysis, driving key decision-making by analyzing profitability across products, channels, customers, and SKUs
  • Assist in the forecasting and scenario planning for our annual and long-range planning.
  • Identify revenue and profit improvement opportunities for Commercial partners.
  • Support Commercial leaders with ad hoc reporting, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Analytical and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to build complex, detailed and high-quality models and step back to summarize the implications and recommended actions.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and cultural competency, with an ability to operate in an unstructured and highly dynamic environment
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex analyses to simple insights.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized self-starter with a drive to dig into complex problems and embrace ambiguity
  • Expertise in creating processes and tools to support budget process and profitability analyses
  • 3-4 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, or CPG finance is a plus.
  • Prior experience at a rapidly scaling startup is a plus
  • Advanced excel experience required. Experience building complex formulas and manipulating large data sets.
  • Experience and curiosity across financial systems (e.g. Netsuite, Datarails, etc.) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus

COMPENSATION

$90,000 - $115,000 base salary + bonus
