- Stakeholder Engagement: Navigate complex stakeholder environments, engaging with diverse groups including environmental agencies, waste management departments, and local governments to secure buy-in and facilitate project launches.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the municipal waste management sector, leveraging insights to inform business strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure successful implementation and support for municipal partnerships.
- Startup Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in overcoming challenges and capitalizing on opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in private sector business development, sales, or partnerships, with a primary focus on government or municipal counterparties.
- Proven track record of successfully closing deals with municipal agencies, preferably in the waste management or sustainability sectors.
- Strong understanding of the waste industry is a plus, with knowledge of food recycling and sustainability practices being highly desirable.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
