The Intelligence Assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist in the operations of the Special Investigation Unit. The responsibilities include but are not limited to verifying the background activities and profiles of certain claims by researching all available resources including public information data bases as well as the internet and social media. The Intelligence Assistant will work with the Intelligence Analyst in the daily operations of the SIU Unit and will provide various administrative support functions for subrogation services.
Assists in the daily operations of the SIU process, including processing surveillance updates and final reports on a timely basis.
Reviews and pays invoices for Special Investigation Unit.
Oversees the administration of the SIU video library and is responsible for all video copies and links as needed to be supplied to the claims handlers.
Creates pre-surveillance reports to be used by the claim handler and assigned investigator when necessary. This includes researching and monitoring various resources including but not limited to ISO, NICB, TLO (a public data base used in research of claimants), Inland Fisheries and Wildlife searches for hunting/fishing licenses and game tagging information, Child Support lien searches, Social Media, hospital canvases, criminal records, as well as Department of Motor Vehicle information.
Reviews daily ISO Claims Director report and investigates highly suspicious claims based on the high ISO score.
Assists internal SIU investigators with any request they may have during the course of their investigation.
Assists the SIU Manager and Intelligence Analyst with complication of SIU data for monthly reports.
Provides backup coverage to the Litigation Coordinators and assists with their duties on an as needed basis.
Requirements:
One year of customer service and/or administrative support experience preferred. Previous claims experience strongly preferred.
Must be able to work at a fast pace, multi-task and effectively prioritize as new tasks arise.
Strong written communication skills are essential.
Must have excellent research and comprehension skills and the ability to convert and summarize research data.
Must be organized and detailed oriented.
Microsoft Office skills are a must (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Strong social media and internet researching skills.
