About this Role
In this role, you will be a key member of the analog team architecting the world's first photonic computers. This is fundamentally an interdisciplinary team, and outside-the-box thinking is the daily norm. You will need both deep expertise in mixed-signal and analog design and breadth across other engineering disciplines, such as photonics and digital electronics, semiconductor device physics, thermal/packaging, and machine learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to refresh and grow their competency in these areas.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the architecture development with our chip architects by leading feasibility studies
- Collaborate with other design engineering teams (system, packaging, digital, photonics) to translate system-level requirements into electrical design specifications
- Lead the analog design and top-level integration of integrated circuits development
- Design complex analog and mixed-signal circuits
- Create technical reports and design specifications documents
- Plan DFT strategy and support its design implementation
- Oversee the performance validation of the analog circuits in the lab
- Support production test development and ramp to production
Qualifications
- MS with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience
- 3+ years of experience in the Semiconductor industry experience in Analog/Mixed-signal IC design
- Solid fundamentals of CMOS device characteristics, noise, mismatch, linearity, and design trade-offs
- Experience designing complex blocks such as data converters, control-loop circuits used in power-delivery, high-speed interface circuits
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in advanced FinFET process nodes is a plus
- Experience with Cadence Design Environment
- Hands-on experience in the lab with silicon evaluation and validation
- Ability to work collaboratively with people across multiple functional areas
- Explains advanced concepts and understands how those concepts relate to other disciplines
- Works in projects at all levels of the organization and serves as an external spokesperson
