COE Principal - Design and Deployment Assurance

Job location: This position is to be hired in (Canada or USA) and will be remote unless you live in the Ottawa area in which the role will be hybrid

About the team

The Centre of Excellence (COE) team focuses on our customer's most pressing business and performance needs and is committed to helping solve their complex challenges. Design and Deployment Assurance is a program that assists complex deployments with the intent of highlighting and resolving issues early, with the goal of getting the customer to a successful go live. As a member of the Center of Excellence, the COE Principal - DDA will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our customer’s more complex deployments, providing guidance for the Partner/Kinaxis Deployment team.  Having a thorough understanding of RapidResponse and deployment practices across multiple Kinaxis verticals, they will work to ensure best practices and leading-edge deployment processes are in place for the customer.

What you will do

  • Understand the overall strategic direction of the COE and work with the Principals and Advisors to ensure Best Practices are up to date and relevant.
  • Assess and review the potential risks of deployments as new accounts are onboarded to Kinaxis.
  • Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to deployment teams on complex customer issues / escalations of critical nature.
  • Identify and report on areas of risk during the design phase of an assigned deployment project and ensure stakeholders are aware of the risk and mitigation options for any areas of concern.
  • Ensure that each milestone of a deployment project assigned has been reviewed and communicate with the key stakeholders further potential risk or key decisions that are needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Kinaxis customers and internal stakeholders, representing the COE and promoting the usage of best practices throughout the RapidResponse solution
  • Partner with the COE principals and Advisors on growing our knowledge content to ensure the learnings of each deployment are well documented.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in supply chain management disciplines
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in business consulting and technology programs with 4+ years leading deployments in Kinaxis' own RapidResponse solution.
  • Deep domain knowledge of two or more functional supply chain and planning processes such as S&OP, Demand Planning, Master Production Scheduling and/or Inventory Management
  • High level understanding of the software development life cycle, and how SaaS organizations deliver software
  • Strong functional knowledge of software integration landscape
  • Strong functional knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
  • Experience leading, mentoring, reviewing and supporting junior team members
  • Ability to travel 25-40%

Education/Certifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
  • Currently possess or be able to obtain Kinaxis RapidResponse Level 1 Solution Architect Certification
  • Kinaxis Change Management or other CM certifications considered an asset
