Khan Academy is looking for an exceptional Donor Relations Manager to forge strong funding partnerships with a range of high net worth individual, corporate and philanthropic foundations.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for both building new partnerships and managing a set of existing relationships with a range of corporate and foundation partners for Khan Academy. You will play a critical role in end-to-end execution on partnership opportunities from initial conversations through to negotiations and finally overall relationship management.
You’ll also work closely with our senior leadership and internal teams to ensure we meet stakeholders’ needs while holding true to our mission of providing a “free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.” You will develop an in-depth understanding of Khan Academy and our initiatives, and bring a willingness to tackle challenging, complex problems with clear, structured thinking informed by research, analysis, and creativity.
Responsible for donor prospecting, cultivations, grant writing, asks and stewardship
Responsible for a portfolio of major donors - foundations (corporate and philanthropic) and high net worth individuals
Responsible for understanding Khan Academy product and strategic vision and translate it to meaningful giving opportunity for our donors.
Provide insights from partner relationships to guide future strategic initiatives at Khan Academy
You have experience in managing external relationships – whether in a business development, sales, client management, or other external-facing roles

You have a bachelor's degree, with 5-10 years experience or prior work experience relevant to the job or a masters degree with 5-7 years of prior work experience relevant to the job
