Karbon is hiring a Customer Education Designer with SaaS industry experience creating on-demand educational materials, training courses, and more to help our clients become proficient and successful users of Karbon.

About This Role

Reporting to the Director of Education, this person will be responsible for creating and designing compelling education and learning content that will enable new Karbon clients to become expert users of our software within their own organizations.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Executing end-to-end design and development of digital learning content using instructional design best practices while accounting for localization and future maintenance of content
  • Identifying learning objectives and aligning them to desired customer behavior outcomes
  • Authoring content using common industry development tools, video script writing and editing, product video capture, voiceover, and editing, and writing for eLearning elements
  • Partnering with SMEs to acquire product knowledge that can be shared externally with Karbon clients
  • Building and refining templates and style guidelines and delivering work that conforms to those guidelines
  • Assisting with LMS administration (data maintenance, keeping content relevant and current, etc.)

About You

  • Eager to get in on early stages of our new Customer Education team and able to play a role in defining the vision and standards of this part of the organization
  • Previous professional experience in learning design or instructional design within a software or SaaS setting
  • Previous professional experience designing and delivering engaging course material in an easy-to-understand format
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to solicit and synthesize feedback from multiple sources
  • Ability to write effective copy for written learning materials, assessments, and product video voiceover scripts
  • Experience with industry standard eLearning development and authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Evolve
