The team:

When it comes to ensuring our customers are successful and continue to grow with Jobber, our Expansion Sales team is essential. The team is providing a consultative service to help our customers achieve: strong product adoption & engagement, feature discovery, implementation of best-practices and continuous adoption of incremental value - all leading to improved customer success, expansion & retention.

The role:

This brand new role, the Director, Expansion Sales will report directly to our VP, Sales to the VP, and will lead our team of Account Managers. Our Account Managers are here to help our customers get the most out of our product & drive business results through customer expansion and retention. This role will be integral to partnering closely with key stakeholders, help define our post-sales strategy, be the liaison between strategy & execution and build the supporting functional roadmap. This pivotal position will also define & drive processes that encourage collaboration, accountability, and deliver initiatives that are measured towards defined outcomes. This is a key leadership position on the post-sales team that will help Jobber continue to scale and drive our mission to help small business owners succeed. We are looking for a strategic decision maker, someone who is passionate about building functional processes, a good problem solver, and able to navigate multiple priorities and demands.

The Director, Expansion Sales will:

  • Be a key partner in defining and driving the post-sales strategy, ensuring it’s aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Own the Expansion Sales roadmap.
  • Build and enable the processes & capabilities to execute on the cross-functional roadmap and define capacity planning; fully supported by leadership.
  • Closely partner with stakeholders such as Revenue Operations, Marketing, Strategy, Customer Success and Sales Enablement to deliver against top initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor leaders within the Expansion Sales department by being objective and driving alignment through constructive conversations.
  • Monitor business performance and help adjust the course if necessary (capacity planning and evaluation to help inform hiring plans).
  • Deliver results against company & team targets

To be successful, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a senior/leadership-level customer success or sales role.
  • Ability to think strategically and build roadmaps that align execution to strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of implementing customer success & account management strategies and how to build processes around them.
  • Coaching and motivating leaders & individual contributors to deliver high performance
  • Experience defining and building processes across a scaling organization.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across the team.
  • Being extremely analytical. This role requires the ability to leverage and action insights from our dashboards and tech stack (Ie: Salesforce, VOIP, Tableau, etc) to make data driven decisions.
  • Ability to influence and motivate a large audience.
  • Highly adaptable (fast-paced environment).
  • Great problem-solving and organizational skills.

Our product provides entrepreneurs the flexibility of working in their office or the field, and we offer that same opportunity to our employees.
