Inceptive is a diverse team of scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs, attempting to bring the precision and modularity of software to the design of biomolecules.
We are looking for an experienced operator and company builder to help develop the infrastructure that will help our teams succeed and lay the foundations for future growth.
You understand that no two organizations are the same and that our vision for biological software often requires us to take a first-principles approach.
You may have experience in tech or biotech, but you are also able to critically evaluate what you learned in previous organizations and ready to find new solutions to new challenges.
You may not have a formal scientific or technical background, but you understand that to help technical teams succeed, you need to understand the technical challenges they face.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it

- Build infrastructure needed to support teams through high-growth periods
- Support all Beginners through structures and practices to promote growth and engagement
- Foster and promote our culture of transparency
- Embody our vision of an antedisciplinary environment and embrace learning about areas outside of your traditional area of expertise
- Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds to build innovative and scalable work solutions
- Zoom in and out to understand the big picture, find creative solutions to complex problems, and drive projects end-to-end on the ground, taking responsibility for the execution
Qualifications
- Strong people skills: the ability to quickly build relationships and confidence with your fellow Beginners
- Experience working in a high-growth organization, ideally across a variety of different roles and at various sizes of organization
- Availability to accommodate working with team members across different time zones, with one or two meetings per week starting at 8 am PT or finishing at 7 pm CET
- Readiness to travel several times a year for company retreats and business events
- This position will require a significant in-person presence at our Palo Alto site
Compensation
$105K – $195K + Bonus + Equity

About Inceptive
At Inceptive, we are creating tools to develop increasingly powerful biological software for the rational design of novel, broadly accessible medicines and biotechnologies previously out of reach.
