ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced part-time Lecturer to deliver live lectures and workshops tailored for tech professionals transitioning into management or leadership roles. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both technical and managerial concepts and will be passionate about guiding tech professionals through this critical career transition. Responsibilities include facilitating interactive sessions, providing mentorship, ensuring course outcomes are met, and creating any teaching materials needed to deliver the live lectures and workshops.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will support our learners by guiding them on their course content and projects, holding group lectures, and helping solve student queries. You will be part of a team building the most affordable learning experience to remove existing barriers to accessing education and teaching these skills to people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. In this role, a typical day would include some or all of the following:
- Delivering the HyperionDev course content in the form of lectures and tutorial sessions in line with lecturing schedules.
- Support Lecturers and Learning Design with developing lecture content, mini-lessons, lesson plans and presentations on a weekly basis as per a structured learning path and in response to student needs.
- Assisting with the identification and implementing of new strategies for improving overall pedagogy and quality of lectures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback.
- Reviewing and updating course content and teaching methods in accordance with strategies that senior lecturers and managers have developed.
- Supporting the curriculum planning.
- Take part in the planning and execution of Lecturing Schedules under the guidance of senior lecturers and management
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, or a related field with extensive professional experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role within the industry.
- Proven track record of successful leadership.
- Prior teaching or training experience, preferably in an online setting.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of leadership and management principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
- Proficiency with online teaching tools and LMS.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback.
Preferred
- Post Graduate degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, or a related tech field.
- Certification in leadership or management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM).
- Experience with curriculum development and online learning delivery.
- Familiarity with challenges in the tech industry.
Alternative Qualifications for Industry Experts
- Extensive work experience in leadership roles within the industry.
- Recognised as a subject matter expert through contributions to industry projects, publications, or speaking engagements.
- Proven track record of mentoring and coaching other professionals in the tech field.
- Significant professional certifications and continuous professional development in leadership and management.
- Evidence of impact and innovation in leadership roles, such as leading successful projects or teams.
Please note: This is a part-time, 6 months FTC. There will be after-hours lectures, in the evenings and over weekends.
