ABOUT THE ROLE 

As our Content Marketer you’ll take the reins for our content strategy and all copywriting, and develop a content ecosystem that adds real value for our audience and turns leads into revenue along the way. 

You’ll use your strong copywriting and editorial skills to create content that brings to life our positioning and fuels thought leadership, drives engagement, and generates inbound leads to build the sales pipeline. A portfolio of written work that demonstrates your abilities is a must-have for this role.

Working with internal experts, you’ll have a rare opportunity to create truly meaningful content –– helping customers understand how to start and change their careers for the better. You’ll partner closely with Design, Product Marketing, Email Marketing, and more to drive student understanding and action.

 

We’re looking for someone who can bring big, bold conceptual ideas to the table, have their finger on the pulse of the latest social media and content trends, and easily write copy across a variety of formats and consumer touchpoints, especially email, websites and landing pages, PR, blogs, social and video. You should be able to apply data and user research insights to copy development, and be comfortable with fast-paced iterations and adjustments based on feedback.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owning and executing our content strategy across a mix of channels –– Working with Product Marketing and Performance Marketing to understand content needs at every stage of the funnel, you’ll craft and execute our content strategy. You’ll deliver the strategy and execution of everything from blog posts and long-form content, to podcasts, to newsletters, to video, to social channels, to other ideas we haven’t thought of yet. You’ll conceptualise creative campaign ideas in partnership with these teams.
  • Become the voice of HyperionDev –– as the copywriter and content marketer, you’ll help bring our messaging, value proposition, and brand to life by creating many different types of copy –– from messaging, to ad creative, to landing pages, to nurture cadences and much more. 
  • Amplifying the reach of your work –– Content isn’t worth anything if no one sees it. You’ll create content, and strategically amplify its reach through search and social media channels, and work with Performance Marketing to ensure maximum reach & engagement.
  • Measuring and optimising your work for maximum impact –– From performing SEO research and optimising content, to monitoring performance metrics for content targeted at different stages of our customer’s journey, you’ll use data to assess the impact of your work and how it contributes to our overall revenue goals. 
  • Effectively managing agencies –– You’ll manage external agencies and third-party suppliers including PR.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum

  • 4+ years as a copywriter (ideally in a content marketing or similar role) within a B2C environment.
  • Strong copywriting and editorial skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to write for different channels and formats.
  • A solid, practical understanding of SEO, social media marketing, and digital marketing.
  • Data driven, analytical, and creative — you use data to inform creativity.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong ability to self-edit –– you can spot a typo a mile away.
  • Customer obsessed –– you love getting under the skin of the best ways to help customers get their job done.
  • Brilliant at distilling big complex subjects into simple, engaging content strategies.
  • You know how to get the best insights out of customers, sales, and customer success teams so you can align your content to buyer needs with laser-sharp focus.
  • You love to tell stories and know how to grab someone’s attention and draw them into your content within seconds.
  • You’re no stranger to social media and know how valuable community building through insightful, engaging content can be.
  • A confident verbal and written communicator, comfortable engaging with internal and external audiences operating at a very senior level.
  • An infinite learner, and embrace and seek out feedback.
