You will be joining the communications team at the Marketing department. The department consists of multiple teams focused at driving growth to the platform through omni-channel marketing and rapid experimentation.The teams are responsible for various domains: SEO, Paid Advertising, Public Relations, Strategic Partnerships, Email Marketing & CRM, Lead Generation, Social Media and Content Marketing. As the window (not a gatekeeper) of HousingAnywhere, the communications team acts as the eyes, ears and voice to/for both internal and external stakeholders.

With you joining us, the communications team will consist of 6 professionals: YOU, Brand & Communications Manager, Policy Advisor, Email & CRM marketing specialist, Communications Intern and Head of Public Policy and Communications.  

Your Responsibilities ๐Ÿš€

As Brand and Communications Manager - The Netherlands, your core purpose, strategy and activities will evolve around โ€˜making HousingAnywhere and Kamernet famous and favouredโ€™ as a respected and purpose-driven organisation dedicated to creating a sustainable rental ecosystem. You will be our inside-out communications specialist with an exceptional talent in and passion for marketing communications and media relations to strengthen our reputation and positioning in the minds of our key stakeholders. You will focus on strengthening our position and proposition in the Netherlands and be a sparring partner of Brand and Communications Manager to manage both brand consistency and differentiation. 75% of your work is expected to evolve around boosting the Kamernet brand and 25% on the HousingAnywhere brand. You will report to the Head of Public Policy and Communications.   

  • Develop and manage brand positioning strategy and outreach activities by translating our core values and strengths into external key messages & visuals per channel/opportunity (both earned and paid) for the Netherlands
  • Own and foster the relationship with key Dutch and global media, PR agencies and creative agencies relevant to our focus European markets to maximise desired output
  • Continuously monitor our internal development (product, market, people, data, research etc), benchmark competitorโ€™s communications activities to identify their strategy and outperform their presence both quantitatively and qualitatively
  • Work closely with Policy Advisor and Email & CRM marketing specialist to match internal and external (market, policy, trend, ect) developments to increase the share of voice
  • Drive and improve brand & communications strategy and execution in a continuous basis

Your Profile ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘ฝ

  • 5+ years of proven experience in the areas of integrated marketing communications with a strong copy writing and brand management capability, working for an international & fast growing brand. Agency experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach, at ease with using tools and advanced data reports
  • Deep understanding of proptech, student accommodation/PBSA, co-living and/or higher education is a big plus
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Native-level Dutch and deep understanding of Dutch is a must. Fluency in English is also required
