Development and Program Coordinator

Role Overview
Harvard Hillel seeks a motivated, creative individual with strong communication and organizational skills to serve as the full-time Development and Program Coordinator. This individual will work with the Program and Development teams to develop and promote a vibrant, pluralistic Jewish community at Harvard Hillel. The Operations Associate will report to the Director of Development.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with database management: update and clean-up lists, merge records, update system, and coordinate between various database systems, including Donor Perfect, Harvard Hillel’s website and Constant Contact.
- Support fundraising success through maintaining the fundraising management database, stewarding existing donors and funders, and researching individuals and institutional funders.
- Help track gifts and contacts in Donor Perfect, Harvard Hillel’s fundraising management system.
- Generate and send acknowledgements for pledges, gifts, and payments.
- Help coordinate appeals in print, email, web site, and social media.
- Engage the board and staff to personalize letters and make thank you calls.
- Conduct research on all new donors to identify prospective mid-range and major donors as well as corporations and private foundations.
- Maintain online and hard copy files for annual auditing.
- Maintain donor records, ensuring accuracy, security, and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support as needed for a variety of internal and external programs and events to include but not limited to creating and testing forms for relevant program registrations, surveys and donations.
- Coordinate logistics with staff and student leaders for program needs.
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring to the Job
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years' experience in an administrative position, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Canva.
- Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- A self-starter, data and deadline driven, and ability to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams both inside and outside of Hillel, successfully managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to facilitate conversations and learn more about Judaism and Israel in a way that inspires stakeholders to invest in our work.
- A sense of humor and a positive attitude

- Salary range is $45-$53k commensurate with experience.
