Coordinator for Mentorship & Networking

Brown RISD Hillel 

The past two years have marked a period of significant, positive growth for Brown RISD Hillel. Guided by an outside-the-box approach to student leadership and community building and a bold vision for the possibilities of Jewish campus life, BRH has emerged as one of the most vital and creative organizations in the national Hillel ecosystem. BRH is now seeking a Coordinator for Mentorship and Networking to design and build a new platform, transforming BRH into a center for student professional mentorship and growth. By activating a wide network of distinguished alumni, parents, and partners, the Coordinator for Mentorship and Networking will shape a sustainable model of events and resources to benefit Jewish students of all backgrounds and professional interests. 

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute a multi-element model that connects current undergraduates at Brown and RISD with a network of distinguished alumni, parents, and partners
  • Identify and develop relationships with leading Brown and RISD alumni representing a variety of professional fields 
  • Engage a wide variety of Jewish students on College Hill and support them as emerging professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives. 
  • Shape experiences and events in Providence and around the country to strengthen relationships between students and alumni. 
  • Liaise with BRH’s Alumni Engagement Committee
  • Identify new and enhance existing ways of weaving students into stewardship activities with donors
  • Collaborate with BRH communication professionals to tell the story of campus life to alumni. 
  • Utilize data management, database optimization, and data analytics, to optimize efforts

On a day to day basis you will

  • Have coffee with Jewish students in cafes around College Hill
  • Connect with alumni around the country via Zoom
  • Meet with BRH’s Alumni Engagement Committee to plan a networking event in Providence
  • Liaise with leaders from the Brown Jewish Alumni & Friends network
  • Introduce students with alumni mentors via email
  • Welcome students to BRH for Shabbat

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse constituencies and create positive community connections
  • Strong understanding of Brown’s culture and alumni-base
  • Aptitude for independent and cooperative decision making as well as proactive creative and strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Goal-driven, results-oriented team member
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Uncompromising commitment to Jewish pluralism
  • A joyful, optimistic, cooperative way of being in the world
  • Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience

What You’ll Receive

  • Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,0000
