Role Overview
Make your mark on Jewish student life by joining Hillel at Kennesaw State University as the Springboard Fellow. You will build one-on-one relationships with students, plan and execute engaging events and programs around campus, and help inspire students to make a commitment to Jewish life. Kennesaw State University is a fast-growing university with 44,000 students and an estimated 600 - 1000 Jewish students from the Metro Atlanta area.
Hillel at KSU continues to find more and more Jewish students on campus, and you are there to help foster community and Jewish identity for these students. Our mission is to enrich the lives of these individuals so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. Our primary goal is to significantly increase the number of Jewish students who have meaningful Jewish experiences at KSU.

About The Springboard Fellowship
The Springboard Fellowship is a paid, two-year fellowship that brings recent college grads with raw talent, passion, and skills needed to reimagine and redesign Jewish student life to college campuses across North America.
Trained in Relationship-Based Engagement, Human-Centered Design, and other entrepreneurial frameworks, you will be exposed to the most successful initiatives from across the Hillel movement. Fellows will work with students to imagine, create, and refine experiences for Jewish life that dramatically impact student engagement, efficiently and
strategically apply and scale successful initiatives from across the movement, and give birth to cutting-edge ideas that have the potential to transform how Hillel creates inclusive spaces for #AllKindsOfJewish.
We’re looking for people who embrace challenges, take risks, fail, and learn from the past while maintaining their passion and sense of humor. Extensive Jewish education is not necessary — just an interest in creating a vibrant Jewish community, a commitment to learning, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
GOALS:
- Actively contribute to shaping Hillel at KSU by engaging 180 students.
- Collaborate with students and colleagues to develop Jewish-themed programs and manage student committees.
- Maintain a culture of inclusion for all Jewish students on campus.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Co-facilitate JLF and develop other Jewish learning opportunities for a range of students
- Manage logistics for Shabbat and other holiday events
- Meet with students to help connect them with leadership roles, and supervise student leadership committees
- Outreach to and meet with students on campus to learn about them and their Jewish experiences
- Support Birthright Israel needs, which could include recruitment, registration, and admin work, and staffing a trip
- Co-facilitate Kol Yisroel and other Israel educational programs for students with Campus Director
- In collaboration with the Campus Director, run social media accounts
- Input events and student communication into the database

What You’ll Bring to the Job
- 0 -3 years professional work experience
- Bachelor's degree
- This is an in-person role located in Kennesaw, Georgia; remote work is not available for this position
- Experience or interest in student outreach and engagement
- A love of Jewish learning, sharing it with others, and making it fun and accessible
- Campus leadership experience
- Knowledge of or background in Greek campus culture
- An outgoing personality and someone who can talk to anyone
- A value of team atmosphere
- Willing to ask questions and communicate needs
- Adaptable to different situations and needs
- Reliability
- Excitement in working with college students
What You’ll Receive
- Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The minimum base salary for this role is $44,000 in year one of the Fellowship and $46,500 in year two of the Fellowship.
