About the Role:

Hello Heart is seeking a talented  Director of Consultant Relations who will play a critical part of our commercial team by supporting the sales team focusing on consultant relations.The role will be responsible for helping to manage, build and maintain relationship in the consulting community, as well as educating consultants on our value proposition and key differentiators. This role is critical to Hello Heart’s growth strategy and we are seeking individuals with in-depth knowledge of the consulting space, existing relationships and a passion for digital health solutions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively collaborate with members of cross functional teams (e.g. Customer Success, Partnerships, Strategic Alliances) to develop and deliver consultant facing messaging.
  • Create purpose-built content (playbooks, cheat sheets, job aides, objection handling, FAQs, etc.) to improve solution knowledge and support the sales process and methodology focused on consultants.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to identify risks and opportunities relative to our consultant relationships.
  • Develop and nurture Hello Heart relationships with key contacts in the consulting community, to drive strong relationships and increase understanding about our capabilities
  • Collaborate with key groups at Hello Heart (sales, customer success, sales ops, analytics, product, marketing) to ensure our work is informed by these critical market influencers. 
  • Develop and maintain intra-company relationships consistent with our values
  • Coordinate/participate in events sponsored by the consulting firms which further business development opportunities.
  • Optimize our investments in consulting vendor programs (ex: Mercer VIP) and assist with responses to consultant sourced RFPs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and interest in healthcare and benefits consulting, relationships management, strategy, process development, program management, leading presentations externally and internally and negotiation. This role sits within the Sales organization and reports directly to our VP of Consultant Relations.  

  • 7+ years experience in Consulting Relations and/or Management Consulting
  • Experience at a consulting or brokerage firm is strongly preferred 
  • Relationships with and understanding of firms such as Mercer, Aon, WTW, Alliant, Segal, Gallagher and Lockton required 
  • Experience with a digital health solution, preferably in a start-up environment
  • Excellent poise and presentation skills, strong writing skills
  • Experience leveraging technology and tools
  • Adept at social selling and networking
  • "Go-getter", driven to work in a growing company and help enable teams to sell a solution that gets quick results and can save lives
  • Travel expectation is 50%
