About the Role
Harry's is currently seeking a CAD Specialist and Development of In-Store Fixtures to help innovate and manage the development and execution of in-store fixtures for Harry’s - stores include Target, Walmart and other large retailers. This person will help to establish design and construction standards and processes for creating retail fixtures and branded spaces for a fast moving, growing, and progressive brand. This role reports to the VP of Global Design and is part of the Global Design team at Harry’s.
As Manager - CAD Specialist and Development of In-Store Fixtures you understand the brand’s DNA in order to successfully lead development of in-store fixtures. You work with an internal team of industrial, graphic and production designers, manage external vendors and consultants, and collaborate cross-functionally with our Retail and Operations teams to successfully create award winning in-store merchandising fixtures.
The preferred candidate has experience managing external vendors like printers and fixture manufacturers to deliver completed in-store merchandising elements in a fast paced and demanding environment.
About the Team
The Global Design team is responsible for the design and development of products, packaging and environments for both the Harry’s brand and Private Label brands world-wide.
What you will accomplish:
- Using designer’s vision, create detailed spec packets
- Work directly with fixture fabricators to develop prototypes
- Communicate flawlessly with both internal and external partners - clearly communicate vision to vendors and drawbacks / further development needs to internal teams
- Ensure drawing accuracy of fixture designs
- Understand how each retailer’s fixturing process works and develop projects and processes within those bounds
This should describe you:
- CAD is a MUST - we use SolidWorks at Harry’s, keen knowledge of this program and
- Microsoft and Google tools
- 5+ years experience in the retail fixture or trade-show exhibits development
- Degree in design is a plus
