Hanover is looking for an Intern to join our Strategy and Insights team and support the development and delivery of projects including secondary and primary research, media and social media analysis, drafting strategy and report writing.  

The ideal candidate will be interested in the wider work involved in planning corporate communications campaigns and either have a clear passion and/or experience in a range of sectors including, but not limited to, healthcare, FMCG and technology. This experience can be through academia, volunteering, or paid work.  

We expect you to be ready to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that has been designed to foster creative thinking. To be curious and up to date with the news and with the latest brand campaigns. To be willing and ready to learn. To have a solution s first attitude to our clients' problems, and to have high attention to detail and strong numeracy and communication skills.  

We will provide you with on-the-job training and as you progress professional training in research/ analytics to start with and then your chosen area of strategy.  

You will be responsible for helping the team to gather evidence and to interrogate various data sets to uncover insights that are then used to inspire the development and delivery of actionable insights and transformative strategies for our clients.  

As part of every project you will be onboarded on, you will be expected to speedily develop an awareness of the business we work with, as well as the context in which the business operates and also the wider societal impact of our work with them.  

You will be reporting to our strategist, and you will have regular coaching catchups with our associate strategy director.  

The Team 

We are a team of strategists with a deep passion for data and creativity and we sit at the heart of the business acting as a strategic planning function designed to empower and enable teams to unlock strategic and creative thinking - based on solid evidence, data-driven insights, and compelling narratives.  

We work with the latest technologies, research methods, strategic frameworks, and tried and tested creative ideation models – and we routinely train the team and wider business to ensure we stay up to date with these.  

We combine this with our teams’ specialist knowledge, sector and stakeholder intelligence to ensure we deliver transformative strategies for our clients.  

We work with every team across corporate, advocacy/ public affairs and international relations, healthcare communication and market access, consumer and creative communications.  

We support the Group across geographies too from London, Dublin, Brussels, Abu Dhabi and Dubai – and we work closely with our partners in the ecosystem and the Avenir Group.  

The Internship will be paid and for 12-weeks with the potential to extend. London-based, our hybrid working requires you attend our Southbank office three days a week.
