Position Overview

FleishmanHillard is a global integrated communications agency delivering transformational outcomes for some of the world’s biggest brands. We are looking for a Video Intern to join our St. Louis Creative team. Through data-driven intelligence, bold creative and strategic purpose, FleishmanHillard St. Louis has helped clients all over the world produce award-winning work across a fully integrated communications landscape. Two times a year, we hire a select group of highly qualified candidates for our internships to work with some of the best professionals in the industry. Our video interns work closely with our creative team to create content for social campaigns, commercial content, corporate video, events, and much more.

This full-time paid internship is 40 hours per week and runs January 16 – June 27, 2025. This internship offers a hybrid work experience (remote and in-office). Note: candidates are required to work onsite in our St. Louis office at least three days per week.

Video Editors

Video editors are passionate storytellers skilled in editing video to create content for our clients. Editors work closely with our Video Producers and Creative Directors to meet the objectives and timelines of each project. Editors must be organized, good communicators, and able to juggle multiple projects at once to meet client deadlines. Color correction, audio mixing, and animation skills are a plus. Our interns contribute directly to our workflow, and we are interested in seeing what they bring to the table—how they create something from nothing, how they visually bring ideas to life, how their process unfolds, and what kind of results they get.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience: 

  • Completed or entering the final year of a 4-year video production or related program. 

  • A portfolio demonstrating a strong sense of video editing and storytelling work.
  • A willingness to learn and work within a team environment. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere.
  • Animation/Motion Graphics skills are a plus.
  • Experience on video shoots is a plus.

  • Comfortable in the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Experience and comfortability using Microsoft Office is a plus).

Video Producers

As a Video Producer intern, you will work closely with our Senior Producers and Creative Directors to organize our shoots and set them up for success. You will also work with our editors and manage post production timelines to hit client deadlines. You are extremely organized, a strong communicator, and have experience on set. Ideally, you have camera, lighting, and some directing experience as well. You are able to juggle multiple projects at once to meet client deadlines. Being able to do some video editing is a plus. Our interns contribute directly to our workflow, and we are interested in seeing what they bring to the table—how they create something from nothing, how they visually bring ideas to life, how their process unfolds, and what kind of results they get.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience: 

  • Completed or entering the final year of a 4-year video production or related program. 

  • A portfolio demonstrating a strong sense of production work and video storytelling.
  • A willingness to learn and work within a team environment. 
  • Experience in preproduction, on set, and producing video throughout the production process.
  • Camera, lighting, and directing skills are a plus.
  • Experienced in Adobe Premiere.
  • Comfortable in the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Experience and comfortability using Microsoft Office is a plus).
  • Committed to cultivating diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Portfolio Submission Required

Any candidate hoping for serious consideration MUST submit a portfolio of work.  Reels, portfolio webpages and YouTube/Vimeo channels are all acceptable.  If submitting a reel, please include a description of some of the projects you sampled and how you were involved in them (either in the video description, or somewhere else in the application).

The anticipated salary range for this position is $17.50-$20 an hour.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography.
