The Role!

The Marketing & Innovation Analytics team at Fetch is responsible for enabling data-led understanding of performance drivers, userbase dynamics and consumer insights to unlock growth, efficiencies, and a better user experience.

We are looking for a Lead Analyst to join our growing team. In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to shape strategy for critical product marketing areas, supporting successful feature launches through rich data narratives. You will be the subject matter expert on experiment design, measurement strategy, analysis and data driven storytelling to guide successful user journey and feature lifecycle. In this role, you will own the development of analytics roadmap and insights generation to influence go-to-market strategy based on clear understanding of users’ interaction with the app. You will work in close collaboration with Marketing, Product, Analytics and Engineering to deliver compelling analysis to support the marketing and product organization to drive user growth, retention and engagement based on data and insights.

Success in this role will require a natural flair for envisioning data needs, passion for unraveling actionable insights combined with strong SQL skills. You are inherently curious about user behaviors and motivators, while being outcomes driven with passion for creative problem solving. You have an agile mindset and thrive in ambiguity. What you’ll do:

  • Be a trusted strategic partner to Marketing and Product in building a foundational understanding of Fetch users, their journeys and behaviors.
  • Influence decision makers in cross-functional teams by forming clear hypotheses, (re)defining key metrics of success and building rich data driven narratives on adoption, engagement, and growth opportunities.
  • Ideate, test, and support roll out of product features, own deep dive analysis of pre, during and post launch impact and provide recommendations to optimize user experience and business results. 
  • Drive actionable insights from product usage and other relevant data to measure success of experiments, diagnosis of issues to create a robust understanding of general user behavior
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with and present relevant insights to business stakeholders, including but not limited to Product, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, GTM Strategy.
  • Develop an understanding of and empathy for marketing team’s data needs and represent the team in development of data and analytics roadmap for innovations.
  • Keep a persistent pulse on the health of the business through KPIs and proactively identify opportunities for investigation of trends and drivers. 

To be successful in this role:

  • Bring 3-5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, consulting, or similar roles. 
  • Demonstrate ability to create and modify SQL/Python queries for custom insights by leveraging large data sets. 
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques and experience with causal analytics, experiment design and analysis. 
  • Ability to deliver actionable insights through cohort analysis, funnels, user journeys, trend, and diagnostic analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to translate data into succinct stories for varied groups of stakeholders.
  • High familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Grafana, Looker or similar to create and present compelling views of user behavior. 
  • Have an entrepreneurial start up mindset, agile, autonomous, willingness to support others and be endlessly curious. 
  • Comfortable leading cross functional discussions in a fast paced, highly iterative and sometimes ambiguous environment. 

Bonus Points For:

  • Adept knowledge of marketing and product principles, user behavior trends in consumer tech, retail/CPG environment.
  • Familiarity with product analytics software like Heap, Amplitude or similar.
  • Familiarity with Big Data frameworks like Snowflake, Spark and AWS services.

Compensation:

At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
