THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Director of Analytics, Brand Performance to lead a team of analysts and data scientists.  You will work with group-wide marketing and commercial teams to improve business performance through the lens how the Fanduel Brand impacts core company goals through actionable insight, models and solutions.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead a team of analysts and data scientists to solve problems through the creation of analysis, models, and automations that quantify how the perception of the FanDuel brand, and child brands, effect both new user and existing user growth for Fanduel Group
  • Work with Brand Marketing stakeholders and resources across the Group to develop and roll-out solutions, identifying and closing technical and process gaps as necessary
  • Develop and maintain a vision of how FanDuel Group should value and evolve our Brand Marketing positioning to ensure we continually improve its impact on business performance
  • Take ownership for ensuring benefits of insights are communicated, realized, quantified, and iterated on in order to show the impact our Brand has on business outcomes
  • Ensure projects and resources are aligned with company and business unit strategy
  • Provide line management, coaching and professional development to managers, analysts, and data scientists in your team
  • Contribute to FanDuel Group’s analytics and data strategy - ensuring they reflect priorities for your team and stakeholders
  • Review and vet new technology tools and techniques for viability within the organization
  • Implement processes to embed analysis best practices, historic data knowledge archiving, and general knowledge sharing
  • Review analytical languages for correctness and provide feedback to those on your team
  • Identify and grow top talent within the analytics community

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
  • Minimum of 3 years of managing and coaching analysts, data scientists and/or data engineers
  • Demonstrated past history of creating and maintain both long term and short term roadmap plans that are based in contribution to company goals
  • Ability to hold teams to account for delivery of project roadmaps, proactively problem solving where necessary to hit deadlines
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel required
  • Ability to use languages for analysis; Python, R, Spark preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format, Tableau preferred
  • Finger on the pulse of current and emerging technologies and techniques - prioritizing effort in exploring potential value
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing up, down and across organizations
  • Experience leading teams and working with colleagues in other countries and time zones
  • Interest in Fantasy Sports, iGaming, and/or Sports Gaming preferred
