Our Finance team at Double Good is growing and has a need for a Senior Financial Accountant. As a member of our Finance team, the Senior Accountant will work cross functionally with other departments on company initiatives as well as to prepare financial statements.
This role will be based onsite at our Burr Ridge production facility and will require occasional travel to our Elmhurst shipping facility
About the role:
- Support financial month end activities
- Support multiple audits (financial, insurance, 401k, tax, etc.)
- Work in conjunction with our outside tax partners on Corporate and Sales Tax
- Support standard and actual cost accounting activities
- Support treasury management
- Partner with Operations on Fixed Assets and Capital Expenditures to ensure proper project management
- Work cross functionally on financial/operational activities and related project management
- Provide support with an ERP conversion
Experience & Skills we value:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of experience
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food or beverage industry
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks based on importance.
- Ability to identify issues using root cause analysis methods
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Identifying areas for process improvement in an ambiguous environment
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Passion for learning new systems and tools and previous experience in major software implementation (e.g. ERP, WMS)
- Ability to collaborate and working cross-functionality with internal stakeholders of different levels
Nice to have and/or you’ll learn:
- Expert level functional and industry knowledge in Food Manufacturing and Inventory business processes
- Cost accounting and standard costing experience.
