- Legislation Compliance: Stay up-to-date with Canadian and US employment legislation to ensure our HR policies and practices are in compliance.
- Assist in developing and executing a DEI strategy that aligns with our company’s values.
- HR Policies: Assist in the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legal requirements and company values.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee inquiries, grievances, and conflicts in a professional and confidential manner.
- Employee Events: Play an active role in organizing and executing employee events, including setting up decorations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- HR Metrics: Track and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Immigration Expertise: Provide guidance on immigration matters, including work permits, visa applications, and compliance with immigration regulations for our international workforce.
- Onboarding and Off boarding: Assist when needed in the onboarding and off boarding processes for employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Greenhouse Management: Assist in HR software systems such as Greenhouse for recruitment and HR analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in designing and implementing DEI strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Proven examples of bringing unique solutions to a fast growing organization.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficiency with HR software systems, including Greenhouse, is a plus.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks to support the HR team and company culture.
